Design Graphics
These projects are from the first studio, Landscape Graphics, Fall 2022. This studio focused on building graphical communication skills including both hand-drawn and computer-aided graphics and renderings. The software used were Photoshop, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Lumion. In addition, I taught myself Morpholio Trace.
Sonoran Oasis - Final Project
I was given a rectilinear hardscape base-plan and was tasked with designing the surrounding gardens and selecting the hardscape materials. I was inspired by the Sunnylands Center & Gardens in Rancho Mirage, CA and utilized Sonoran plants like palo verdes, aloe, and barrel cactus. I prefer natural-style plantings but also love the contrast of rigid and modern rectilinear forms.
Prairie Oasis - Midterm Project
We were given a 45-degree rectilinear garden plan and were tasked with designing the planting and materials. The rain-shadow landscapes of the Front Range, high steppes, and pinyon-juniper forests gave me inspiration.
