Cornell Architecture Intensive
In Summer 2019 I attended a 6-week Intro to Architecture intensive at Cornell University. The program focused on architectural history, thought, and design forms. Each studio project was built upon and refined from the last. I produced three main deliverables, multiple plan/section drawings, and numerous concept and prototype pieces.

Folded Cube
I was tasked with creating a cube whose operation, or theme, was to fold. I explored the meaning of that action and the result was the 3-dimensional , folded cube. I then flattened the cube to 2-dimensions to further explore the spaces created.

Cube Relief
After flattening the folded cube, I created this 3-dimensional relief that further explored the forms and spaces that were presented to me.

Discovered Landscape
From the previous iterations, a landscape was 'discovered' from my relief, and a livable space was designed to fit within that landscape. The space was required to contain sleeping, bathing, cooking, studying, and contemplation areas. I was inspired by Roman aqueducts and desert slot canyons, resulting in the large walls and gulleys which would be filled with flowing water.
